Our prayers continue for Texas and Florida, and our congregation will has the opportunity to participate in ongoing relief efforts through Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Disaster Response.

We also continue in prayer with our new Associate Pastor for Missions, Amy Grizzle Kane and Sean and their family, as they have moved in the midst of the hurricane from Houston to Greensboro and still have family there. Amidst such stress and concern for their friends and loved ones, the Kanes are assured they are coming to a place where friends and church family wait to receive them. In Courtney Willis’ words in our pastoral prayer, “We pray for peace in their hearts and minds as they attempt to get everyone and everything out of harm’s way, so that we can joyfully welcome Amy and her family to serve among us at First Baptist.” Our love and continued prayers for the Kanes, and for all of those affected, are valued and appreciated.

Anyone wishing to make a financial contribution through First Baptist Greensboro can mark their check or online contribution at fbcgso.org/give with “Disaster Relief.” We will direct our church contributions through Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Disaster Response.
