October 4 Update
Some new needs have emerged from our neighbors most affected by the storm in Western Carolina. This weekend, we will be collecting more supplies to take to our ministry partners in the mountains. The atrium will be open from noon to 4 on both Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6 to receive items from the list below and we will deliver all items on Monday. While every item from our original list remains essential, a few specific needs have been requested:
Hand-operated can openers
Hygiene items – Hand sanitizer, soap, deodorant, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, travel-sized toiletries, pads & tampons.
Baby Supplies – Formula, diapers, & wipes.
Cleaning Supplies – Bleach, paper towels, gloves, scrub brushes, trash bags, Dawn dish soap, all-purpose cleaner, contractor bags & work gloves.
If you are unable to bring supplies this weekend, there will be more opportunities in the days ahead. You may also contribute monetary gifts through First Baptist Greensboro at
fbcgso.org/give, indicating “Disaster Relief.” These funds will be utilized entirely in partnership with the ongoing response efforts of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. If you have any questions please contact Buck Cochran (buck@fbcgso.org).
