In the FBC Youth Ministry, we seek to connect the passions of our youth with God’s passions already at work in the world. We are an inclusive community of imperfect people striving for authenticity and fellowship. Come and be a part of a great group of youth as we journey together.

Everyone is welcome at FBC!

High School Retreat

High School Retreat dates are changing to April 2-3. It’s hard to reschedule an event this close to the original dates, but thanks to some flexibility from Montreat, we have been able to delay our High School Retreat while not sacrificing from the experience itself. Moving the retreat to April gets us well past the Omicron surge, allows us to have warmer weather to do more outside, and gives us all more time for sign-ups. Please change your calendars to reflect the new dates and sign up to join us today!

Our theme for High School Retreat this year is Face To Face. We will spend intentional time reflecting on what it means to meet God in a personal way and how that can impact our lives. The new dates does make the retreat shorter, but it will be an incredible two days. If you’re in high school, we want you to join us. Let Chris know if you have any questions.

Passport Camp | July 18-23

Passport Camp has moved to July 18-23 and will now be here at Greensboro College. Our previous plan to attend camp at Gardner-Webb is no longer an option offered by Passport. The cost of the week has not changed. Please let Chris know if you have any questions about this change or about camp in general. Sign up for Passport Camp here.

Because of the change to Youth Passport, VBS has also changed. VBS will be July 11-14. Our youth are so important to the success of this week, we wanted everyone to have a chance to be there and volunteer. Sign ups for VBS volunteers will come soon.

How to stay informed!

There are two ways to receive communications from FBC Youth Ministry. First is through our weekly ENews each Wednesday morning. If you’d like to receive these weekly emails, please email Ashley Chandler to sign up!

Second way to not miss out on what’s happening in the youth group is by signing up for texts. Sign up to receive one-way REMINDers of youth events via Text or Email – you choose between Middle School or High School or Both! You can also join the Youth Parent group and Youth Choir group.

Click here to Sign Up | Do this separately for each group you’d like texts from. You will choose between email and text and receive a confirmation email or text to join the group. Here are the codes for each group:
Youth Group (two groups): ms-youth or hs-youth
Youth Choir (one group): youthsing
Youth Parent Group: fbcgsoyth
