May 18 1 – 4 pm | Missions Day 2024

 
Join us Saturday, May 18 starting at 1 pm for our 2024 Missions Day! This event is intended for EVERYONE; kids, youth, and adults alike. We will disperse into our community with work locations at Backpack Beginnings, Habitat for Humanity, Community Housing Solutions, and more. Sign up today to join a team and make a difference in our local community.

April 20 from 9 am to 12:30 pm | Children and Families Missions Day 2024

 
Join us Saturday, April 20 from 9am – lunch for our Children and Family Mission Day! Our children and families are invited to spend the morning tending to the FBC garden and getting it ready for another amazing growing season. Following our mission project, the Missions Committee is hosting a cook-out for our families. If you do not have children involved with FBC Kids, there is still a place for you. We need volunteers to help make this day successful and what a great way to get to connect with some of our youngest friends.

APRIL 13 from 8:30 am to 4 pm | Playhouse Build with Habitat for Humanity

Playhouse Project is an initiative by Habitat for Humanity to provide children of Habitat Greensboro homeowner families their very own durable playhouse. FBC is excited to partner with Habitat in this initiative and gift a fully-decorated playhouse to one of these children. Volunteers 14 and older will gather in the morning to complete construction on the playhouse; no experience is needed and all materials will be provided. In the afternoon, our younger volunteers are welcome to join in the painting and decorating.

APRIL 7 at 9:30 am | Missions Breakfast in Fellowship Hall

Have you participated in Missions construction projects previously? With a growing interest to see those return, we are planning a light breakfast and information session during the Sunday school hour on April 7. Anyone who is interested in learning about FBC’s history of construction projects or about getting involved as we reinvigorate that mission is welcome.

MARCH 22 & 23 |  Ramp Build with Community Housing Solutions
From Friday, March 22 at 8:30am to Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 3:30pm

Community Housing Solutions is celebrating their 20th anniversary with a 20 Ramps for 20 Years build campaign. First Baptist is excited to take part in this outreach opportunity to actively and tangibly support a member of our community. Our build days are March 22 and 23, with an 8:30 start time and a 3:30 end. If you or someone you know is interested in participating in the build, sign up today! Further instructions regarding what to bring and where to meet will be released closer to the build date.
