First Baptist Church is a welcoming community of faith devoted to worship, spiritual formation, and holisitic ministry to our community and our wider world.
If you do not have a community of faith, we would love for you to join us on a Sunday or Wednesday to experience more of our church.
Explore 1st
We believe it is important to provide the opportunity for you to “explore” First Baptist, so we offer Explore 1st for you to get to know us a little better.
A great way to find out what FBC is all about is our Explore 1st class. You will learn … some FBC history, our Baptist beliefs, meet staff, and meet others interested in learning about the church. This is for visitors, non-members who are actively participating in the life of FBC, and new members wanting to learn more about our community of faith.
Alan Sherouse, Pastor, along with pastors and lay leaders will facilitate Explore 1st. The class meets on one Sunday following worship for a lunch and information session. You are welcome to attend as we offer this opportunity generally once a quarter or as needed. We would love to know if you are attending the lunch so we can make preparations. It is our hope that this class will give you the information needed to move into a Sunday School and to become members of the church.
