Wednesday Night Lenten Series
Wednesday Evenings | 6:15 p.m. | Fellowship Hall
Lent is the liturgical season where we reflect on the journey of Jesus to the cross in anticipation of Easter resurrection. This Lent, take some time to share a meal and deepen your spirituality. Lent began with our Ash Wednesday service on March 1. And we continue the journey with a new “Voices of Lent” interactive series, making our way together for these 40 days of meditation, renewal, and remembrance.
The Wednesday series is led by Steve Sumerel, Courtney Stamey, Courtney Willis and John Thornton. This series lends voice to those hidden in the shadow of the cross, and brings to light the perspectives of those often forgotten on the journey to Easter Sunday. We also work together on adult coloring “Stations of the Cross,” participate in group reflection, and share in song. “Voices of Lent” meets immediately following dinner in the fellowship hall. Join us, for this weekly interactive and collaborative experience.
During this series, chapel Bible study will continue. Dr. Steve Pressley will teach on 2 Corinthians.
