Summer Internships

Want to hang out with Chris Cherry and Christina McCord all summer? Looking for some hands-on ministry experience? First Baptist Greensboro is looking for people to help lead summer programming with our Children and Youth Ministries. Learn more about each of our internships and apply below.

Children’s Ministry Internship

The Children’s Ministry summer intern will serve primarily in the children’s ministry, birth through fifth grade and families. The ministry is vibrant and this internship would be a tremendous opportunity for an intern to integrate into a growing program, explore creatively with programming, think theologically about children’s spiritual formation, and practice holistic family ministry.  Some of the responsibilities will include attending and fully participating in PASSPORTkids Camp, planning and organizing VBS alongside the Children’s Minister and the VBS planning team, creating and implementing innovative children’s ministry activities throughout the summer, occasionally leading Sunday School, and planning and leading Junior Church during worship. Missions is a core part of the children’s ministry and is integrated in many aspects of our programming and activities.  Contact Christina McCord if interested, christina@fbcgso.org.

Youth Ministry Internship

The Youth Ministry Summer Intern will serve with the Youth Ministry, 6^th through 12^th grade. It is a high energy environment that is the perfect mix of fun, challenging, and impactful. The Summer Youth Intern will have opportunities to lead events, teach, and integrate themselves into all aspects of the ministry while working alongside the Youth Minister. Some of the responsibilities include bringing your own ideas and style to our summer schedule, spending time outside of church with youth, and helping lead both the Youth Summer Mission Trip to Washington DC and the trip to Passport Missions Camp.
