First Baptist is grateful for the work of Ashley Chandler, our Ministry Support Associate, who has recently shared her plans to transition to a new job. Ashley has worked with us since 2019, serving our church with excellence, especially through administration of our spiritual formation ministry, youth, children’s, and missions programs. Ashley’s last day with us will be March 9, and she goes with the gratitude of our congregation and staff.
As we make longterm plans amidst this transition, we welcome Keighley Johnson as a temporary member of our Administrative Team. Keighley is a teacher in our First Baptist Preschool — a role that she will continue. She has previous experience in organizational administration and event-planning. Keighley and her husband, Pete, and their three children are an active part of our congregation.
In addition to these changes in our administrative staff, we are glad to welcome familiar faces to our newly formed Audio/Video Team. Tyrone Smith, our Logistics Supervisor, has accepted a role as our Video Coordinator, overseeing our livestream on Sunday mornings. Erik Schmidt, who has worked in recent months as our sound technician, is now serving in the permanent role of Audio Coordinator. We are grateful for their work on the technical aspects of worship, both in-person and on-line.
