As shared at our recent Church Conference, the Personnel Committee is excited to announce several updates to the titles and roles of multiple members of our Administrative Staff. These changes reflect an attempt to maximize the talents of our existing staff, while seeking to be as efficient and responsible as possible amidst staff transition. In addition to the changes below, Rev. Amy Starr Russell is currently assuming the responsibility of Admin Team leadership and coordination.
Theo Farrar, Kitchen Coordinator
Theo Farrar continues his work as a member of our Logistic Team, reallocating hours to serve as our Kitchen Coordinator. As our post-pandemic use of the kitchen continues to expand this fall, we will benefit from Theo’s experience and leadership with Food Services at First Baptist.
Keighley Johnson, Ministry Support Director
Keighley has served as part of our Admin Team for over a year. In her expanded full-time role as Ministry Support Director, she serves across our church’s ministries, providing organization, implementation, and coordination of ministry plans, events and programs, including providing administrative support to our Sunday programming.
Sara Manchester, Financial Administrator
After assisting us in transition after the retirement of Scott North, Sara has agreed to a permanent contract as our Financial Administrator. Sara has extensive experience with nonprofit and church administration and accounting, serving such organizations as St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in High Point, First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, and the Greensboro Science Center. Sara also serves as Bookkeeper for newly founded non-profit and First Baptist partner organization, HELD.

As Operations Director, Tyrone oversees facility management, coordinates hospitality for outside groups, directs the care of our building and grounds, and leads our Logistics Team. Tyrone also continues in his role as A/V Coordinator, including our Sunday morning worship livestream
