Trying to describe this incredible experience in 200 words is one of the hardest things I have ever done. This trip was nothing short of life-changing. Words cannot describe my gratitude to this congregation, Mr. and Mrs. Vancil, the Barbee family, our chaperones, and the countless other people that made this experience possible. I witnessed God’s amazing love every day in Thailand. One of the most incredible examples of God’s awesome power was his ability to
help us overcome the difficult language barrier we endured (which of course would not have been possible without the help of our life-saving translator Chris Barbee!) Although Thai and English are extremely different, God created a platform for us to connect with the beautiful Thai people through music, community, and love. Even though I only knew a handful of Thai words (that I am sure I pronounced incorrectly,) God showcased that his love and power can surpass all borders. He personified his love through the connection we made with the Thai people. He gave new meaning to the verse: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” -Matthew 28:19.I cannot sufficiently describe our gratitude for this incredible opportunity. It has truly changed my life, my perspective, and my faith. My trust in God is now stronger than it has ever been. You have provided us with the greatest gift to humanity. You allowed God to truly send us where our trust for him was without borders.
Please continue to support the Barbee’s incredible mission work.
Thank you and God bless you,
