Music and Arts Camp…engaging young artists in a life of Christian worship. Campers will enjoy music of many styles as they develop their voices individually and discover the joy of singing and making music in community. The daily worship time is enriched through experiences in choral music, drama, visual arts, instruments (guitar, drums, handbells) and sacred dance. Classes are taught by church staff and professionals in the surrounding Greensboro area. Campers will bring a bag lunch and water bottle from home. The public is invited to the closing concert on Friday at 1 pm. Registration Fee: $40 through May 15; $50 after May 15. July 1 deadline for all registrations. Questions? Reach out to Baker Lawrimore (baker@fbcgso.org), Director of Children and Youth Music.
Music and Arts Camp is in need of volunteers to help make it happen! There are many ways to volunteer:
“Hands on deck!” — Group helpers | Volunteers in this role will walk alongside campers in their groups each day. Build a relationship! Encourage them in their arts exploration. Help them know they’re loved.
Drum, Art, Handbells, Choir, Guitar, Drama, Dance, Orff assistants | Are you experienced in one of these areas? We could use your help! Make the art come to life by helping with lesson prep and execution!
Food | Help us feed those hungry bellies! Food volunteers will set out drinks, snacks, and lunch boxes before our daily snack break and lunch.
Sign-in/Sign-out | Want to help but don’t have much time? Help campers sign in or out each day of camp.
