More than One Way to Be Baptist” | led by Alan Sherouse (7 weeks)

Pastor Alan Sherouse will lead this class on Baptist identity, history, and distinctives. There are a lot of ways to be Baptist, and we want to claim and celebrate what this heritage means to us. If you’ve ever wondered what it means to be Baptist, what makes First Baptist Greensboro distinct among Baptist, or just how to answer when someone says, “You’re Baptist?!” this class is for you. Join Alan and some special guests throughout the fall.

“Helping Faith Grow” led by Rev. Courtney Willis (7 weeks)

Loosely based on Meredith Miller’s new book Woven: Nurturing A Faith Your Kid Doesn’t Have to Heal From, this class is for parents and caregivers who want to explore ways to invite children and youth to a faith that is healthy, joyful, and sustainable for a lifetime. Come ready for discussion, interaction and conversation!

“Israel and the New Testament” | led by Dr. Jason Myers (3 weeks)

This course will provide insight into the ways that the geographical land of Israel influenced the stories of our faith. This class will be especially helpful to those interested in going on the trip to Israel with FBC, but it is open to anyone interested in learning more.
