Rev. John Thornton, our first Pastoral Resident, formally concludes his two years with us on Sunday, May 28. Our love and prayers go with John as he transitions to serve as Associate Pastor of Youth, Missions and Adults at First Baptist Church on Fifth Street in Winston-Salem. John will lead in communion and offer the closing benediction, and join us after worship for the Dinner on the Grounds.
John, with thanksgiving for the gifts of grace given and received, we pray you’ll remember the way back and know you are always welcome at this table.
