Christmas Eve Service

December 24, 4:30pm & 5:30pm
Front Lawn of First Baptist

A service of carols, scripture, and candle lighting. To maximize safety, this year we will hold two worship gatherings and ask participants to sign-up to attend. While shortened from our traditional sanctuary service, our outdoor gathering will contain essential words, music and ritual that bless us on this holy night.

Participants are asked to sign up in order to ensure safety and to abide by our Gathering Covenant along  with Covid Safety Guidelines. Please sign you and your family up at the button below. If you have any questions with the sign-up, please contact Ashley Chandler (ashley@fbcgso.org) for assistance.

This year, our Christmas Eve Offering will encourage contributions to First Baptist’s Christian Restoration Fund, which works in partnership with the Interactive Resource Center to aid individuals in moving our of poverty. Consider a special contribution this year amidst the economic effects of COVID-19, especially for those most impoverished and vulnerable. Contributions may be made via mail, in-person on Christmas Eve, or online in all the ways outlined at fbcgso.org/give. Learn more about the Christian Restoration Fund here.

If you are unable to attend our Christmas Eve service, we have a virtual option at 1pm on Christmas Eve we’re calling Christmas Blessing. If you would like to have a candle we’d normally lite together in the sanctuary for the virtual option, or just to have this Advent season, they will be available under the covered entrance of the church anytime through Christmas Eve.
