Rev. Kim Priddy, our Associate Pastor of Missions, has accepted a call to be the Pastor of Sedgefield Presbyterian Church, following a congregational vote on November 6. We celebrate this news for Kim and her new church, and we also celebrate the three years of ministry we have shared with Kim.

Kim will be working with us in transition through early December, but her last Sunday with us will be November 20 so that she can share in the Advent season with her new church. All are invited to a reception post-service to celebrate Pastor Kim, Brent, Ryan, Brad and Kate, as they go with our blessing, affirmation and prayers.

Read a letter from Kim below.

Dear Friends,

God has called me to ministry in many different capacities over the years.  I have served within the ministry of children, women, and families and most recently as your minister to missions and community outreach.  I have always had faith that God has had a plan for me. Therefore, it is with bittersweet feelings that I write this letter to inform you that I will be resigning from my ministry position.

I believe that the Lord is moving me into a season of broader ministry leadership, which has led me to accept the call to be the pastor of Sedgefield Presbyterian Church.  I am grateful that I have been able to cultivate my passion and gifts during my time with you all.

First Baptist has truly blessed me in my ministry and touched my heart forever in so many ways. I am also thankful for how you have loved me and my family. These memories will be treasured and remembered fondly as I continue to pray for you all.  Thank you for walking with me and showing me a glimpse of the kingdom of God. Your prayers for me and my family in the transition ahead would be greatly appreciated.

May God continue to guide and spark passionate faith and service in you all, and may you be forever transformed by the WONDER of our God.

Peace in Christ,

Kim Priddy
