First Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC seeks an Associate Pastor of Missions & Community Ministry.

The associate pastor assumes primary leadership of the church’s local and global missions and ministry efforts, and serves as a link between First Baptist and its community, global, and denominational partners. The associate pastor works closely with the missions committee to communicate and evaluate the church’s missions philosophy, oversee missions giving, coordinate existing mission efforts and lead development of new mission initiatives. The associate pastor works to inspire the congregation to use their gifts in service, and provides leadership in missions education.

The associate pastor serves as a part of the church’s existing pastoral team of eight other ministers, and participates actively in the wider pastoral ministry, including worship leadership, pastoral care, and overall leadership of the congregation.

The associate pastor will also share in the leadership of First Baptist’s new pastoral residency program, assisting with program coordination and participant mentoring.

The position is full-time and includes the benefits associated with full-time employment at First Baptist. The associate pastor reports to the senior pastor.

A Master’s of Divinity and prior experience in congregational ministry is required. Additional experience in missions, community, and/or nonprofit work is preferred.
