First Baptist Church, Greensboro, North Carolina,
seeks an Associate Pastor of Missions & Community Ministry.

The Associate Pastor assumes primary leadership of the Church’s missions and community ministry efforts. Working closely with the Missions Committee, the Associate Pastor oversees the church’s vision for missions, coordinates existing ministry efforts, and leads in the development of new initiatives and partnerships. Specific responsibilities include management of the missions budget, coordination of benevolence ministries, leadership in missions education, and encouragement of the church’s involvement in service, advocacy, and justice work. The Associate Pastor also serves as a link between First Baptist and its community, global, and denominational partners. 

The Associate Pastor serves as a part of the Church’s existing pastoral team of six other pastors and participates actively in the wider pastoral ministry, including worship leadership, pastoral care, and overall leadership of the congregation.

The position is full-time and includes the benefits associated with full-time employment at First Baptist. The Associate Pastor reports to the Senior Pastor.

A Master’s of Divinity and prior experience in congregational ministry is anticipated. Additional experience in missions, community, advocacy and/or nonprofit work is preferred.
