The Angel’s Song: Finding Our Way to the Christ Child – How King Jesus Came Into My Life

Although my parents were involved in the Roman Catholic Church, they were not true followers of Jesus Christ. I, therefore, did not understand that I was spiritually lost and in need of a Savior. The light of the Holy Spirit started to enlighten my life when some High School friends passed me biblical tracts dealing with Jesus Christ. I attended youth meetings and Bible studies at their church and from that time on, I began to be aware of the truths of the gospel and to develop a taste for the Word of God. Through an American missionary, I was given an English language Bible in which I simultaneously began learning English and the word of God. Through these experiences, a seed was planted in my heart. God, in His grace, helped that seed to grow. My quest for God led me to join a Baptist church in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where I systematically studied the Bible and received Jesus in my life in the summer of 1987. I was then baptized the following year and am now a child of God through faith in Jesus Christ who died for my sins and rose again for my eternal salvation. Today, I acknowledge Jesus as King of my life and can cry out, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I am thankful to you for dying on the cross for my sins and for my salvation. Thank you for coming into my life as my personal Savior. Help me to trust you, obey your word, and to love you with all my heart. Amen!
